Kloud 9 has enjoyed success with releases on the UK’s number one soul label Expansion Records and has garnered a strong fan base in the UK and Europe with chart topping singles and a handful of UK performances over the past several years.

Consisting of twin brothers Kelvis and Kendall Duffie, the Kloud 9 sound fits squarely into the musical continuum of such enduring artists as The Isley Brothers, The Whispers, and Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly – all with whom Kloud 9 has toured. Though Kloud 9 is newer on the scene, their fresh spin on soul music has staying power that will also keep them around for generations. The duo’s "Special One" video received early support from BET J, and their current single "Can't Be Love," is enjoying airplay around the country.

Just returning from another successful UK tour last month Kloud 9 will appear as a support act for Maysa Leak. Kloud 9 and Maysa have worked together on numerous occasions and both won their perspective categories at last years SoulTracks Awards in Detroit, MI.

Maysa was also featured on the underground soul compilation “Kloud 9 Presents The Vibe Room” with the hot dance anthem Runnin’ co-written and produced by Kendall Duffie of Kloud 9 and has gained a fiercely loyal following over the past decade as one of the great modern soul/jazz vocalists, and her work has been appreciated by millions of others who simply don't know her name. Compared by some to Sade, she is really a unique vocalist who combines a keen sense of jazz phrasing with a gorgeous, deep, soulful voice similar to the late, legendary jazz great, Sarah Vaughn.

These shows are a promotional launch to the end–of-summer release of Maysa’s 7th solo studio album to date entitled, “Metamorphosis”. Maysa feels this new album captures everything she’s been known for plus some new vibes that reflect a growth and rebirth that she feels aptly brought about the title of the new CD.

Kloud 9 also features Incognito (with whom Maysa established her signature sound with) on their latest CD “Yearning 2 Love” on the soulful dancer “So Many Reasons”.

“Our music is really for the grown and sexy – and not just as a cliché. It’s music that sophisticated fans will appreciate for its thoughtful and sincere lyrics and relaxing melodies. Kloud 9 has just completed production on their 3rd studio album entitled “Enjoy The Ride” with a late summer UK release and an early ’09 US release. The guys say this is there best project to date and they are looking forward to further establishing themselves at home with more US dates.
